Speed – liquid screed can be applied fast (2000m2/day can be easily achieved for an average 500-1000 m2/day) and can be dry enough to walk on in 24-48 hours. It can be force dried as early as 7 days after application.
Finish – liquid screed does not curl, has extremely low shrinking, and little risk of cracking. The surface regularity easily achieves SR2 finish as described in BS8204.
Application – liquid screed is suitable for floating floor construction, and avoids the need for reinforcement. The thickness of the application is considerably reduced in comparison with sand and cement screed, which leads to weight saving.
Uses – liquid screed provides a perfect finish for fitted flooring in building development, renovation, and – due to its excellent properties of thermal conductivity (2.2W/mK) – it is particularly good for underfloor heating.
Health & Safety – liquid screed is non-combustible (tested to BS476, Part 4), and is protein free which ensures that harmful bacteria cannot be harboured.
